Context
Black Château Enterprises (BCE) is the umbrella for Books That Make You (BTMY) and The BookFest. For both, I created social videos and written content for book marketing, from concepts and creative direction through to writing and final editing.
Problem
Books, authors and book events needed engaging social videos and timely written content that could hold attention in fast-moving feeds.
Insight
Book marketing lives on social feeds now, and every piece needs a clear hook and a platform-first edit.
Idea
Build each video around its own hook, plan it shot by shot, and use AI selectively in production while keeping the writing, direction and edit human-led.
How I Did It
- 01Developed the concept and hook for each video

- 05Finished each piece by hand, setting the final edit and pacing

AI-Assisted Writing: Alan Hovhaness Memoir Release
An article for Books That Make You announcing the memoir of composer Alan Hovhaness, written by his wife, Hinako Fujihara Hovhaness. I read the book and chose the key elements myself, and wrote the article with AI help.
Results
Four completed social videos (National Book Lovers Day, Summer Reads / Mermaid, Fall 2024 BookFest Award Winners and Arcanum Book Two Teaser) plus a published Books That Make You article on the Alan Hovhaness memoir release.
AI Use
AI supported parts of the visual and video production and helped with writing the Hovhaness article. I read the memoir and selected the material for the article myself. Concepts, structure, creative direction and the final edit were mine.
